This Positioning Aid, named the Kitwana Bunny, is a bunny-shaped object that will allow your tiny baby to sleep in a comfortable and healthy position. The baby’s arms must line up and tuck comfortably inside the Kitwana Bunny. The bottom of the bunny provides support for the hips and promotes flexion. The height of the Kitwana Bunny will facilitate rounding of the shoulders and flexion, it may also be used in conjunction with the Baby Nest.
Use the Kitwana Bunny with care. Do not put the baby’s face down onto the bunny in a way that could restrict the babies’ airways. The bunny may be washed at 60 degrees and tumble dried at low temperature.
Description
Kitwana is a Swahili name meaning “Pledged to live”. This baby name Kitwana is pronounced as Kiy-TWAH-Naa.

The use of the Kitwana Bunny prone positioning aid also provides dropped shoulders and naturally flexed hips. Baby’s head is turned to the side, resting on the bunny’s “chest”. When positioned correctly the height of the bunny allows the baby’s shoulders to fall forward to facilitate them to be able to tuck their arms comfortably into a flexed position. The baby’s abdomen and hips are supported by the bottom end of the bunny, and the knees pulled up into flexion. It may also be used in conjunction with the Baby Nest.
